A 15 year-old male,student of class 6th, who had to discontinue his studies due to sudden diagnosis of renal failure secondary to reflux disease. He belongs to a family with a total monthly income of Rs.2000. His transplant has been done totally free of cost through PKI. He is coming to Shifa for regular checkups,and has rejoined his school.

Kaiser Rashid

A 28 year old male, married for 1 year was admitted with critically high blood pressure and general body swelling.Blood in urine was also traced in labs.He worked as an electrician but had to leave his job due to severe illness.He was clinically diagnosed with renal failure and underwent removal of both kidneys. his successful transplant was done on November 19th, 2007.

Sehrish

A 6 ½ year-old girl, from a broken family, where the father has abandoned the family, with almost no financial support. Suddenly diagnosed with Renal failure after 1 month of repeated vomiting and fever. Admitted with B/L Renal Stones, which were removed and stents (tubes) inserted to keep the ureters patent.

Procedure of Services

indy * Each patient is registered and a unique Medical Record Number issued for permanent record and continuity of care.
* The patients are screened for their financial status and depending upon their financial standing they are provided with treatment either at cost price, absolutely free or somewhere in between.
* No consultation fee, surgical or procedure charges are taken by the consulting physicians and surgeons for their services. This cost is covered from donations and zakat funds which are contributed to PKI by generous donors.
